Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Welcome to Beta Stroller Rental. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy describes what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Reservation details: your name, email address, phone number, rental dates, hotel or resort name, delivery and return locations, language preference, and any comments you include.
- Billing details: your billing address. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal) and never touch our servers.
- Contact and newsletter forms: the name, email, phone, and message you submit, and — for newsletter signups — marketing attribution data (UTM parameters and the referring page).
- Automatically: our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which evaluates browser signals to block bots. Our hosting provider (Vercel) collects standard server logs, and we use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process and fulfill your stroller rental reservation, including delivery and pickup coordination.
- Send order confirmations, invoices, and service updates (transactional email).
- Respond to your customer service inquiries.
- Send promotional emails only if you signed up for them — every promotional email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not offer any discount, reward, or other incentive in exchange for your personal information.
- Prevent fraud and abuse (reCAPTCHA, payment-provider checks).
3. Service Providers
We share personal data only with providers that process it on our behalf to run the service: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting and aggregate analytics), Google (reCAPTCHA, analytics), and Resend (transactional email). We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone else.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions (like keeping items in your cart) and, only with your consent, to understand site traffic in aggregate through Google Analytics. On your first visit you can accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies through the banner, and you can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer, or opt out of the sale or sharing of your data via the "Your Privacy Choices" link next to it. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies, their purpose, and how long each is kept.
We do not respond to the legacy "Do Not Track" browser signal, since it was never formally standardized and most modern browsers no longer send it. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals — our cookie banner detects them automatically and treats them as an opt-out of non-essential cookies.
5. International Data Transfers
Because our hosting and service providers (Stripe, PayPal, Supabase, Vercel, Google, Resend) operate in the United States, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. even if you are located in the EU, UK, or elsewhere. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards implemented by our providers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
6. Data Security and Retention
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, consistent with the Florida Information Protection Act. Payment details are handled exclusively by PCI-compliant processors. We keep reservation records for as long as needed for bookkeeping, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes.
7. Legal Bases and Automated Decision-Making
Where the GDPR applies to you, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing emails), the performance of a contract (to fulfill your reservation), compliance with a legal obligation (bookkeeping and tax records), and our legitimate interests — specifically, preventing fraud and abuse on our forms and payments, and keeping our website and APIs secure. We do not rely on legitimate interest for analytics or marketing; those only run after you consent through our cookie banner.
Some of our fraud-prevention checks — Google reCAPTCHA's automated risk scoring and IP-based rate limiting — are fully automated and may result in a form submission being blocked. If you believe a submission was blocked in error, contact us at info@betastroller.com and we will review it.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time, and you may opt out of promotional email using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Contact us at info@betastroller.com and we will respond within a reasonable time — and in any case within any legal deadline that applies (for example, 30 days under the GDPR or 45 days under the CCPA/CPRA).
If the GDPR applies to you (for example, if you are in the EU or UK), you also have the right to: restrict how we process your data, object to certain processing, receive a copy of your data in a portable format, withdraw consent at any time without affecting past processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to: know what personal information we have collected about you and why, delete it, correct inaccurate information, opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information via the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We do not currently sell or share your personal information. We also do not collect any of the categories of "sensitive personal information" defined by the CCPA (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data), so the right to limit its use does not apply to data we hold about you. We do share data with the service providers listed in Section 3 so they can operate the service on our behalf — this is not a "sale" or "share" under the CCPA.
9. Children
Our service is contracted by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes and Contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions? Contact us at info@betastroller.com.
